FERRIS MOWERS RACE OF CHAMPIONS ASPHALT MODIFIED SERIES FUELED BY SUNOCO FARMERS INSURANCE / THE STEWART AGENCY 75 PRESENTED BY JIM MOSS BUILDERS NEXT UP AT LAKE ERIE SPEEDWAY

NORTH EAST, PA – When the Ferris Mowers Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Series fueled by Sunoco rolls into Lake Erie Speedway in North East, Pennsylvania next Saturday afternoon it will signify one of the most anticipated events of the 2016 racing season. For the past two years, Lake Erie Speedway has held a “Specials Only” schedule with limited racing activity. The Farmers Insurance / Stewart Agency 75 presented by Jim Moss Builders will signify a rebirth to true Stock Car Racing at the ultra-modern facility.

“We are definitely looking forward to a great night for our fans,” stated Lake Erie Speedway Operations Manager, A.J. Moore. “It’s going to be an exciting show and it’s finally here. We’ve talked a lot about it, but now its show time and we are definitely ready and looking forward to it.”

Lake Erie Speedway will come into play and George Skora, Jr., from Eden, N.Y., has raced at the track in several divisions.

“I’m looking forward to racing the Modified at Erie, it’s an event we circled on our calendar when it was announced last October,” explained Skora, who has won Late Model features at the facility. “It is an awesome facility and a great track. There is plenty of room to race and I think it’s going to be an exciting race for the fans to see.”

Lake Erie Speedway is a 3/8-mile banked asphalt oval, which opened in 2002. The last time the Series visited the popular facility was in 2005 when East Aurora, New York’s, Billy Putney captured the victory.

The event will also have the Race of Champions Big 10 Super Stocks, Xtreme Racing Series US Legend Cars National Qualifer, NYPA and Lucas Oil Can Am Midgets on the card. Pre-sale event tickets are now available through the Lake Erie Speedway website (www.lakeeriespeedway.com) for just $15 ($20 the day of the show).
